Training Experts Italian AF, German AF, US Marine Corps and RAF confirmed for Close Air Support Conference 2017

Italian AF, German AF, US Marine and RAF Training Leaders Will Speak at 3rd annual Close Air Support

SMi Group’s third annual Close Air Support (CAS) conference will have a key focus on training and simulation, covering established and emerging technologies; for the needs of the solider, both on the ground and in the air.

Training and Simulation Presentations at CAS 2017:

1. The Italian Air Ground Operations Schools’ use of Advanced Synthetics for JTAC & CAS Training - Lieutenant Colonel Luca Restelli, Chief, Forward Air Controller Section, Air Ground Operations School, Italian Air Force

2. French/German Air-Land Theatre Simulation and Training for FAC Personnel - Major Nader Samadi, Commander, German Air Ground Operations School, French/German Air Ground Operations School, German Air Force

3. Provision of Training to Support Tactical Air Control Personnel and Combat Air - Major Nicholas Dimitruk, Course Chief and Standardization Officer, TACAIR Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific, United States Marine Corps

4. Tactical Air C2 and Battlespace Management Training in Support of Close Air Operations - Squadron Leader Tim Brown, Officer Commanding, Advanced Training Squadron, School of Aerospace Battle Management, Royal Air Force

In addition there will be a dedicated pre-conference workshop on live and synthetic close air support training entitled: “Close Air Support Collective Training and the Changing Role of Simulation”, Led by Mr Nick Sparks, Principal Consultant, Air Land Integration Ltd.

Taking place in London on the 7th and 8th June 2017, these training leaders will be joining an unrivalled international speaker line-up of military and industry experts involved in Close Air Support. Expert speakers for 2017 include senior representatives from: Royal Air Force, German Army, French Air Force, Royal Netherlands Air Force, Italian Air Force, United States Marine Corps, Czech Air Force, NATO Air Command, NATO Joint Air Power Competence Centre, and Joint Helicopter Command and many more.

The audience will include, but not be limited to Industry developers of next generation CAS: Close air support platforms, Avionics and sensors, smart and guided munitions, Air and ground based targeting, Command and control, Mobile deployable communications.

As well as Military personnel involved in: Combat air, joint fires and targeting, joint air land organisations, Targeting and ISR, Joint forward air control, Joint terminal attack control, Joint forward air component commander.
